An Empty Seat
Look to your left, now look to your right. Do you see someone beside you? If you don’t, read this carefully, if you do, just read for you to see.
It feels lonely when you don’t have someone beside you. Would you like to be with someone now? If yes, continue on and if no, just read for you to see.
To start with is to show the definition of Solitude which is defined as “a lonely place” by Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. May I ask you, how long have you been in solitude? Would you want someone to comfort you? Would you want some company? Would you want someone to take care of you?
There was a time that I had someone beside me, it was wonderful being with someone. Having someone to talk to, share my life and experiences, enjoy the moments, bond with her with all my love, and even laugh at silly my jokes. In times of trouble, I have a shoulder to cry on and ease the pains in my life. What a wonderful feeling!
Now, I see myself with an empty seat beside me. It is hard if you get comfortable with someone beside you as you always long for that same feeling as before. It is so bare with no one beside me, just an empty seat. And I always dream of having someone beside me, the same person that I shared my life with.
Do I miss the times that I have someone beside me? Yes, of course, as we had great times together. I keep looking at my left and right, but there is no one. I long for that feeling of happiness and joy, but it is hard to take of having an empty seat.
Would I want to have someone beside me? Yes, of course, as you get used to it, it is no longer easy to be in solitude. Think of it, when you have shared you life with someone and you lost that someone, would it be hurtful? Yes, of course. Would I be comfortable alone? It is a hard question to answer, but for now, it is hard! Is it hard for you?
Alone. In solitude. In pain. An Empty Seat.
