A Great Night Out!

Last night, I was invited to go out to have some drinks and watch a live band in Corus Hotel in KL. On the way, I really never expected what to happen but in the end it was a great night.

Having no jam at all, we went of from my place to KL at about 9:30 pm and reached just before 10 pm. I was expecting a bit of a jam because it was a Saturday, but it was smooth sailing from the get go. When we reach the hotel, I noticed that we entered in the "exit" and the attendant just opened the barrier and waived at my friend. Apparently, he is a regular in the hotel.

As we went for our first order, he told me that usually the place is full, but because it's the mid of the month its quiet. As the band was playing, they greeted my friend by his name. He asked me that I can request for songs , even Tagalog songs I can request because the band was a Filipino band composed of three ladies and one guy. It was nice to see them performing on stage as the place was filled with not only locals but other nationalities as well. Having a Filipino pride and seeing your "kababayans" successful in the music industry.

With their breaks, one of the girls and "kuya" as he is called sat with us for drinks and little did I know that he told them about me. So, they knew already that I am a Filipino, except for one band member who thought I was a Chinese. We had small talks and asked me to request songs, which I already did. Unfortunately, they would only be performing in the hotel until the end of the month, which is a sad part as I wanted to see them perform again.

The song requests I did was the songs that I can relate most right now...

1. Set Fire to the Rain by Adele

2. Someone Like You by Adele

3. Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang by Freestyle

After this night, we will come back before they leave and have a great night out again! And next time I can take shots of the band and get there band name too... :)
