the painful truth

I have been blessed of meeting friends from different walks of life, whether they are young or old. I have also been introduced early with friends from other countries and until now I am gaining more friends outside the Philippines. It’s nice to know a lot of people and build friendship that you hope would last for a lifetime.

As much as I can, I would value the friendship, but there are times that it would be broken because of a simple act of selfishness or other reasons, hatred will grow and friendship will be over. Then I would think, what would I do to make commence or is there any way to bring back the friendship. Time will just tell… but it’s the painful truth that I would live by.

I made mistake of opening up to a friend that I like her and the friendship is torn until now. I just hope I can turn back time and just keep my feelings to myself.

A friend of mine made a terrible mistake not to me but to my girlfriend that might have cost her job, and until now I have never spoken to him.

One of my bestfriends just completely ignored me even I have made the effort several times, and until now nothing has changed. I don’t even know why I am being ignored.

I have a friend who treats me like a disease that I can never be close to her and even I bump her accidentally, she would be mad at me.

I guess these are lessons in my life to become a better person. It is true that people change and events in your life will change you, it is just a matter of knowing how to deal with it. I may feel hurt of things that my friends would do to me and vice versa, things can just go wrong, bad decisions here and there, but there is one thing that can be done… and that is forgiveness.

But it’s the painful truth in life that once in your life, you will be hurt by your own selfish acts or be hurt by people who do you wrong.

I am grateful to have met all my friends and I apologize for what I have done wrong to all of you. Thank you to all who have been in my life and nurtured a bond with me… that is FRIENDSHIP.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Colossians 3:12-14
