Gratitude

When the goodbyes are near, all the things that went wrong in the past disappears and turn into all great praises and gratitude. Leaving the path I am now traversing is one of the managers in our company. Working closely with him was imperative as our job scope are similar. He is handling the operations and I was handling the operations auditing.

He once told me how can I handle the work in my company and the only thing I can tell him was... We would have a lot of problems in here, but don't over think of it. I can think of reasons for him leaving the company, but what is more important is not why he is leaving, but who was he to me and the company.

As working with him closely, there would be times that we would not be in-sync and would not have different views that would just keep me thinking. It was these times that I learned how hard it is to work hand-in-hand with a person knowing a lot in the job that I am not familiar with. But it was also gratifying to working with a person like him because of the lessons I learnt from him.

A hard-working guy at most, sharing his know-how in the operations to me was great. Looking into a different perspective in working. Keeping your head high and sticking to your principle is what he taught me. A man who fights for what is right no matter who he bumps into. A great negotiator and a tough competitor. A fierce boss but a nice friendly guy. A diligent manager and a great leader. A guru to all sharing his vast experience in the field of operations and negotiations. A successful sales person who sees every single cent move up as not just a success but a turning point for the journey to higher achievements.

Our work would definitely be tough without him as our LEADER, who showed us the way to reach new heights in our careers in different ways. Being a mentor to me, he would leave a mark in my life and career. He created ways to solve problems and issues that come, start and end meetings with a thought of improvement.

Words are countless when describing him as a manager and a leader. As I always instill in my heart and mind... You can be a manager, but not a leader! As for him, he is both.

All I can do is to THANK him for all that he shared with me while working with him. The lessons taught, the arguments lost and won, the ideas sharing and mind-boggling brainstorming. And of course, being a friend.

May our paths cross again! God Bless in your new career! Good Luck! I do hope we still keep in touch! We still have more food trips to go to!
