When I traveled to a place called Krabi
When I had the idea of travelling alone, I really wanted to go to Krabi. So, it went through just fine and well. I am actually thinking of Krabi (Part 2), but not in the near future. I made a few mistakes along the trip, but all together it was an enjoyable stay.
So, I needed to get a bus ride at 3 in the morning from my place. It was tiring as I didn't sleep at all from Monday until Tuesday to get the ride to the airport. To cap it all off I had stomach upsets while I was waiting with a friend. Eventually I got well even before the flight and it was a huge sigh of relieve for me.
As usual I already planned and checked-in online to make it easier for me to pass through the long line of check-in and directly to the immigration. But the the gates to the immigration were the ones closed and the line was crazy long as there were a lot of flights in that early morning. But the immigration check was a breeze and while waiting for boarding, I decided to exchange money, which I usually do when I arrive in my destination. I regretted it as the exchange rate was low, but when I also changed money in Krabi, it was almost the same, in the end it was just fine.
So, when I arrived in Krabi Airport, I decided to get a private car that cost me a chunk of money! A whopping TM600!!!! A bad choice! Well, being foreign on the country and alone, I thought it was risky to get a chartered bus as I don't know where exactly my hotel is located. Well, I was wiser and more confident going back to the airport so I took a bus and only cost me TB150 which is the same coming from the airport to Ao Nang.
And here goes my select few photos I gathered from my Krabi Trip!

I stayed in the Harvest House Bed and Breakfast in Ao Nang. Agoda.com (where I always book my hotel room) gave it a 3-star rating. I had to say that the staff are the friendliest hotel staff I seen for a long time. Very helpful in all my needs like tour services and even reminded me of my booking for my bus going back to airport which they arranged too. The room was huge, with a balcony, bathtub, daily complimentary 2 bottles of water, safety box, wifi, and cable TV).
If you need information on them, you can book directly to there website at
or you can book through agoda.com
or you may call them at 075-695256 or fax 075-695257
I spent my time in Ao Nang Beach that is usually the first stop for all the beaches or islands around Krabi. It is the nearest from Krabi Town and where you can find a long line of street market, restaurants, bars and massage parlors. Food and drinks ranges from TB50-300+; Clothes go from TB150-350+ (usually just bargain); Souvenirs from TB30-TB300+; Beer costs TB90 in bars; Massage services go from TB200-1000.
From Ao Nang, I had a 1 day tour in Koh Phi Phi Islands as I really wanted to see the island where the shoot the movie "The Beach". So, I spent TB1200 on this trip! With pick up from hotel, speed boat transfer, 4 island trip, snorkeling (in two locations); lunch and a funny English speaking tour guide!
As for the other activities you can do in Krabi, you can go on other island tours like in the James Bond Island, Hong Islands, Jungle Trekking, Elephant Trekking, Shooting, Snake Show, Zip Line and other fun activities. These activities ranges from TB400-TB1800.
So, here are some photos from Koh Phi Phi Islands
Well, for my last photo, it is a shop or actually it was the staff who made my night that time. The story was I bought a food from a food cart on wheels (beef noodle soup), which was awesome! As I was looking for benches to sit, I found this small stone near to the broken bench. I sat there and ate my supper. Well, as people are passing by from left to right, I say this guy walked up to me holding a chair and gave it to me to sit on. The weird thing is, I didn't buy from their shop, I was just a tourist eating on the sidewalk. And that gave me the idea of sharing the shop in this blog, so if anytime you want to visit Krabi, buy from this shop! Chic Beach Wear! Tell me and I also want to buy from there too again and again!
So, that is my Krabi trip! I hoped you enjoy this and visit Krabi soon!
