Road Trip
With minimum money to spend on travel, we had to make sure we use every single second of having something to look for before the end of the day. A well planned trip with a minimum budget is not what I planned for but, hey! We got through it!
My road trip started in KLIA picking up my cousin coming from the Philippines. While on the way from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur, our bus driver got into a wrong turn that cost us time to wonder around the city. So, just had dinner in KL Sentral and went to our hotel. We rested for awhile, changed, and enjoyed the night in one of the happening places in the city! Go bar hopping in Bukit Bintang. A night of walking around and searching for a good place to drink and good music.
On our second day, we went to the IT Show in Mid Valley Megamall and look for the best deal for my cousin's new phone! Well, he really needed a new phone, so he got one. After that, we got lost in the city with my awesome navigation skills until we reached Low Yat Mall and had our lunch in a Hong Kong Restaurant. Then from there, we went back to our hotel to watch the concert of Against the Current. (posted another blog about the concert)
From our KL road trip, our third day was a one day trip to Johor and back to KL. Just so as not to waste the ticket of going back from JB to KL even though we are going to Melaka the following day! In Johor, we went to Legoland and toured around the park. Had a good time there looking at lego creations from life size people to life size animals to replica buildings and monuments such as KLIA replica, Petronas towers (not finished though), shipyards, and others. As we arrived back to KL, we witnessed a lion dance near our hotel.
On our fourth and fifth day, we went on another road trip to Melaka and celebrated Merdeka Day in A Famosa Resort. We went to their Old West Town and Safari Adventure. Well, my cousin had an experience of having a python on him, other than that in the Old West Town, we saw a Native Indian show with fire dance and fireworks display. Then, in the Safari Adventure, we had safari ride, bird show and the old west show.
On our sixth day, we headed back from Melaka to KL and spent our day in KLCC or most popularly known as Petronas Towers. As like I am a tourist, which I am not, I took photos of KLCC as most of the tourists who visit KL does. I asked my cousin to pose in front of it and yes it was great! And before the day ends, we went back to my place.
On the seventh day, we went to my workplace and had coffee. Then went to One Utama and watch movies. I got two free passes that I saved for my cousin, so he can watch in here. What movie you ask? We watch Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation! But, as I am the worst movie critic and narrator... I can just say it was good! Then before my cousin heads off back to the Philippines the next day, I asked him to eat Satay!
Photos?! Credits to my cousin and best buddie! :)
