Remembering Lola
I wish I am there today and see you for the last time. God has some reasons for letting me stay here, but all my heart is there to be with you Lola. I wished that to see you next year, but it will never happen anymore.
Remembering the queen of our family that brings us closer... Lola Inay...
When I was a kid playing with my cousins, you have always that smile when you see us eager to kiss her apo. And me looking for the chance to get blessed by you and Lolo. Without your unconditional love for us, you have taught me the essence of a family.
When I had the chance to stay and sleep in your house, it was always a treat because every time you see me, you will always say to eat what's on the table. You always look out for us and welcome us with all your love. As you seat in the dining table in your favorite place, you will call me name and eat, but as always I would say I am full. Thank you Lola.
When the time for us to go home, you would always give us food to bring home that Nanay will cook for us. Tablea is always there for our champorado, a box full of puto for us to eat for a couple of days, atchara that me and Tatay eats... only us... It was always good to come home with all the goodies, but more than that you have never failed to forget your love to all the material things you have given us.
As I grew older, I stayed in your house for a couple of years as I worked near your house. I was happy I can stay with my relatives and you. As always, you have welcomed me in your home. I would never forget how you took care of me while I was there. I will forever be grateful for all the love you have given me and my siblings. Also, your love to my Nanay and Tatay. Thank you.
I wish I am there now, to be with you. I just want to say, I love you and I will forever be grateful for the unconditional love, compassion, kindness, and lessons in life that you never knew you taught me. Thank you Lola Inay. Salamat po sa lahat. Alam ko po masaya na po kayo dyan kasama si Lolo at Nanay. Hindi ko po kayo makakalimutan.
